LEO

MEATBALL
AGE: To come
BREED: To come
SEX: M
BACKGROUND: This beautiful guy was rescued from a shelter.
NEEDS: Meatball is SUCH an amazing pup. He's just a snuggle bunny with one of our loving fosters; he's loving his humans. He gets along with other dogs, and is learning to be a good boy in the house.
HEALTH ISSUES: Meatball will be going to the doggy doctor to make sure all is well with our guy. He's up-to-date on core vaccines, and is neutered and microchipped.

MILKSHAKE
AGE: To come — He is a bit older but young for a "Little"
BREED: To come
SEX: M
BACKGROUND: Milkshake was found as a stray and is so very scared. Can you imagine how big the world seems to this little guy?
NEEDS: He's learning to trust in his great foster's home. Milkshake will need a family with lots of love to share.
HEALTH ISSUES: He will be going to the doggy doctor soon to make sure he is healthy. More to come on this little man.

SALTY

HEALTH ISSUES: To come

BOONE
AGE: To come
BREED: Mix
SEX: M
BACKGROUND: Boone is yet another "Little" who was found in this big world all by himself.
NEEDS: This adorable little guy is VERY scared and won't stop shaking BUT he is doing a little better in his amazing fosters' home. Boone is such a sweet boy but soooo very nervous. He's learning that there are kind humans in this world. More to come as he comes out of his shell.
HEALTH ISSUES: Boone is chipped, up-to-date on core vaccines, and neutered. He will go to the doggy doctor, as well, to make sure that he is healthy.

WILEY
AGE: To come
BREED: Mix
SEX: M
BACKGROUND: Wiley was found as a stray in New Hanover County. All on his own and scared. We found him shaking in the shelter and just couldn't calm him.
NEEDS: He is now with one of our amazing fosters learning to trust again. He needs lots of love and companionship. For now he is resting and socializing at his foster's home. More info will come as we learn more about him.
HEALTH ISSUES: Wiley is up-to-date on core vaccines, and is microchipped and neutered. He will be going to the doggy doctor soon to make sure he is healthy.

JENNY
AGE: Approximately 8 years old
BREED: Lab/Hound Mix
SEX: F
BACKGROUND: Jenny was a stray found in Bladen County, and now is settling in well with her foster and her foster fur siblings. She is pure sweetness and longs for a family to love.
NEEDS: She is very sweet and, with a good introduction, does well with other pups. She does need a fenced yard as she likes to explore (that's the hound in her!). This sweet girl needs to find her forever family.
HEALTH ISSUES: Jenny recently had surgery for a mass on her mammaries and, luckily, all came back non-cancerous. She still needs some dental work, which Freedom Bridge will remain responsible for until completed. She has recently been spayed, microchipped, is up-to-date on core vaccines, and is heartworm negative — Yaaaay!!!
CASH
AGE: Approximately 1 to 2 years old
BREED: Mixed Breed
SEX: M
BACKGROUND: Cash is an owner surrender and was starved. He looks better now but it's an awful case. He seems submissive. Luckily, Cash is gaining weight. He has medium energy and seems to know commands. He's a sweet guy who loves to play!
NEEDS: Cash does well with other dogs. He needs a family to give him all the love he has missed while being on his own.
HEALTH ISSUES: Cash is neutered, heartworm negative, and underweight.

Little Minion was found with major trauma and was given surgery to help heal her imploded eye and fractured jaw.
The first photo is pre-surgery. The close-up shows Minion post surgery. The third photo shows the little one recovering in her foster home with foster siblings.

MINION
AGE: Approximately 5 to 8 years old
BREED: Terrier Mix
SEX: F
BACKGROUND: Minion was found as a stray in Bladen County with a fractured jaw and imploded right eye from blunt force trauma.
NEEDS: She is a sweet little girl who loves to play with other pups (so another pup in the house is important). She loves to cuddle and doesn't seem to be slowed down with missing an eye :)
HEALTH ISSUES: Due to her physical trauma, Minion was only able to open her mouth less than a quarter inch when found. Her foster has shared that she is able to open a bit more and now can eat wet food vs gruel. She also had surgery to remove her injured eye, and is recovering well.
She's up-to-date on vaccines and is heartworm negative. Due to her condition, Minion has not been chipped yet. We believe she has been spayed, however, will have our vet confirm. She does have a slight heart murmur with unknown origin currently, but it doesn't appear to be causing any issues for her. We will be taking her back again to the vet for further evaluation.

OLIVER
AGE: Approximately 10 weeks old
BREED: Mix Breed
SEX: M
BACKGROUND: We just got this sweet puppy as a medical. He has a radial/ulnar fracture on his right front leg. Poor little guy was wondering around hobbling in Bladen County. He cannot bear weight on that leg currently. However, you wouldn't know he has a broken arm if you saw him.
NEEDS: Little Oliver is your normal, happy puppy. He loves his Heartbeat Bear (cuddling in the photo above) that helps him think he's with his Mama. He is such a sweet boy and most likely will be medium-sized once fully mature.
HEALTH ISSUES: Oliver has received one round of vaccines and is eating and drinking like a champ. He's currently wearing a splinter with the thought, per our vet, that this may heal without surgical intervention. He is being crate-rested and on pain medication. Keep your paws crossed that Oliver heals without the need for surgery... poor little guy!

QUENTIN (Q for short)
AGE: Approximately 2 years old
BREED: Bulldog/Bully Mix
SEX: M
BACKGROUND: Found as a stray and not very large (about 50 lbs), Q is a super sweet, shy guy. He does well with other pups and loves his foster fur sister. He is doing wonderfully in his foster home.
NEEDS: Q would be fine as an only or with another female pup. He would do well with a fenced yard for running.
HEALTH ISSUES: He is HW positive and, after getting neutered, is starting heart worm treatment. Freedom Bridge will remain responsible for his treatment until completion.

MAMA SURI
AGE: Approximately 1 to 1.5 years old
BREED: Lab Mix
SEX: F
BACKGROUND: Very scared mama. Found by the graveyard with her puppy Scout. Animal Control was able to first get Scout. They found 3 other puppies that had passed. One of their attempts to catch Mama ended up catching another pup, Inky. And, FINALLY, Mama and one remaining pup, Gravy, got into a Good Samaritan's car who stopped for them. Because Mama wanted to meet the pup the Good Samaritan had with her, she was able to get them and notify Animal Control. We took them under rescue. Mama and 3 puppies are now safe.
NEEDS: When Mama Suri has finished nursing her babies, she will need a loving home to show her a safe life that's not on the streets.
HEALTH ISSUES: TBD

Gravy is in a foster-to-adopt home!

Little Scout is in a foster-to-adopt home!

Inky is in a foster-to-adopt home!
These sweet little sibling puppies are approximately 5 weeks old. They are mixed with super cute markings. One is most likely going to be a brindle! They are finishing time with their precious mama.
