Donations Needed

Freedom Bridge Animal Rescue has placed 350+ pups in loving homes over the last 4+ years since we started! We continue to have, on average, 10-15 pups/puppies in our foster homes waiting to get healthy, to understand love, and to get socialized and know what it's like to be in a good, forever home.

Our rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 and runs solely on donations. We cover all costs before a pup is placed. All dogs get vet checked, microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines (including Lepto), dewormed multiple times, and spayed or neutered. Almost all come to us with worms. We pay for heartworm injections and all medications, including heartworm and flea & tick prevention while under foster care. We continue to remain responsible for any known medical issues post adoption. Expenses can range from $800 to $5,000 per dog before they are placed in their new home, depending on medical necessity. Despite the cost of care, our adoption fee remains unchanged.

Among several area shelters, our rescue works with Bladen County Animal Shelter, an hour northwest of Wilmington, where the population is small so there is less chance of pups being adopted. We also have partnered with New Hanover Animal Control to assist in the overcrowding they are experiencing. Many of our pups come to us from there when the shelter becomes overcrowded, the dogs are stressed, and they have a limited time left before they must be euthanized. All dogs deserve to find love.

We rely on the generosity of friends, businesses, and neighbors to donate what you can to allow us to keep rescuing these wonderful dogs in need. We hope you will help us provide to these pups what they are waiting to give to a human: unconditional love.

PUPS IN NEED!!!

We are so grateful to our "village" that helps us financially with our medical pups. It seems to be never ending.

All of the medical expenses for our pups are solely funded through donations. Without your help, we are unable to continue our mission to help those without a voice. NO amount is too small and we are most grateful to the community that helps us keep doing our work. Should you want to donate, please hit the donate button, above, and we will gratefully accept!

Thank you!!!
