Here are some of our many events over the past year that have allowed Freedom Bridge to find loving homes for so many wonderful pups who were lost, surrendered, and abandoned. Freedom Bridge extends heartfelt thanks to our many supporters and hopes that you will please join us for more fun at our upcoming events!

We are so grateful to the people and businesses in the Wilmington community for hosting rescue events, to those who come join in the fun, and to families who open their hearts to these pups in need!

Music Legend Willie Nelson and the Outlaw Band will be bringing the Outlaw Music Festival 2026 to Live Oak Bank Pavilion at Riverfront Park in Wilmington, North Carolina on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026! Experience classic traditional country music surrounded by other country lovers and Outlaw fans from all walks of life coming together for this one of a kind touring musical event. Get ready to have your heart and soul tickled with Willie Nelson’s soulful, country-filled repertoire. The country music icon and 8-time Grammy Award winner will play some of country music's biggest hits.

Come say hi to the sweetest pups!

This event has become a beloved fall tradition on the island, offering fun for the whole family. Come celebrate pets, their owners, and pet-friendly businesses at the lakeside Pets in the Park! The family-friendly event includes live music, 'Ask the Vet,' DOGA (dog yoga), food trucks, free face-painting, pet contests, pet blessings, lots of giveaways, a 'Yapperie' area for enjoying craft beer, mimosas and craft rum cocktails, and a new 'Barcuterie' station with healthy snacks for pets!

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the pet remembrance

Carolina Beach Rainbow Bridge located at the lake will take place at the event!

Everyone is invited to join in the fun! All well-behaved pets are welcome!
