BACKGROUND: This beautiful guy was rescued from a shelter.
NEEDS: Meatball is SUCH an amazing pup. He's just a snuggle bunny with one of our loving fosters; he's loving his humans. He gets along with other dogs, and is learning to be a good boy in the house.
HEALTH ISSUES: Meatball's labs and X-rays look good. He is heartworm positive BUT he has already started treatment and we will get him fully healthy again! Freedom Bridge remains financially responsible for his treatments until completed. He's up-to-date on core vaccines, and is neutered and microchipped.

BACKGROUND: Boone is yet another "Little" who was found in this big world all by himself.
NEEDS: This adorable little guy is VERY scared and won't stop shaking BUT he is doing a little better in his amazing fosters' home. Boone is such a sweet boy but soooo very nervous. He's learning that there are kind humans in this world. More to come as he comes out of his shell.
HEALTH ISSUES: Boone is chipped, up-to-date on core vaccines, and neutered. He is healthy and ready for his forever family.
MAMA SURI
AGE: Approximately 1 to 1.5 years old
BREED: Lab Mix
SEX: F
BACKGROUND: Suri was a very scared mama, handling life on her own. She was found by the graveyard with her puppy Scout. Animal Control was able to first get Scout. They found 3 other puppies that had passed. One of their attempts to catch Mama ended up catching another pup, Inky. And, FINALLY, Mama and one remaining pup, Gravy, got into a Good Samaritan's car who stopped for them. Because Mama wanted to meet the pup the Good Samaritan had with her, she was able to get them and notify Animal Control. We took them under rescue. Mama and 3 puppies are now safe.
NEEDS: Suri finished nursing her babies and her little ones have found loving homes. Now Suri needs a loving home to show her a safe life that's not on the streets.
HEALTH ISSUES: She is in good health and is ready for stability, security, and love.

Look who is a happy little boy! That's right. It is Mr. Boomer, now Wyatt E. Coyote. This little guy was a puppy, dumped at a dumpster site in Wilmington and, thankfully, found and brought into a local Animal Shelter. What a rough start to life. But no more worries, little man! Thank you Lauren for giving this sweet boy the best life!
Harlow, now Harpo, has found her forever home. One wanted a lab mix, one wanted a boxer. They adopted the lab first, and now Harpo makes the family complete. Have a great life, sweet girl. Thank you for saving TWO lives.♥️
Porsche, now Loretta, is the last of her mama's eight puppies to find a home! Porsche's mama was found pregnant by a Good Samaritan, then gave birth while in foster care to 8 puppies. We are so happy for puppy Loretta who has found her forever home. She is living the good life on Oak Island, and she couldn't be happier!

On Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, 6 baby girl puppies, and 1 baby boy, were found on the side of the road with their mama who had passed away after giving birth. A Good Samaritan picked up these tiny Boxer Mix puppies and reached out for help because the babies needed to be bottle fed.
With loving help from fosters and volunteers, all seven puppies are playful, happy, and are finding their forever families. Two of them broke out in Parvo and were nursed back to good health! We are so grateful. It takes a village.

Limo/Sweets was found as a pregnant stray with an open bag of food by a Good Samaritan.
On April 20th, this sweet, little mama pup gave birth to 8 puppies! She birthed her puppies for 6 hours: from 6:00pm until her 8th puppy came into the world just after midnight. Bless her heart! While in our foster home, Limo/Sweets did a fabulous job of nursing her puppies to good health!
And now, at last, she has found a loving home of her own! You don't have to do this all by yourself any more, Sweets!

She came to us with severe skin issues and, with the help of her wonderful foster Ms. Georgiane, and the help of Hanover County Animal Rescue, she was able to become her best self. Now she has found her forever home with the Calvert family. Never alone again.

We are so happy for Adira, now Angel, who was adopted into a loving home where she has 2 fur siblings whom she loves!!! This beautiful 2-year-old lab/shep mix was thrown over a 6ft dumpster fence and found by a Good Samaritan. We took her under rescue. She had to have FHO surgery (hip surgery to her femur) and did very well. Her name is now Angel because her mama says, "She's just the sweetest. She's like an Angel!"

6-year-old Rosie just got adopted by her foster mama! How sweet is that?!!! She was a stray, wandering by herself with severe flea dermatitis. She is all healthy now and in a loving home with her fur sister, Jazzy, also pulled from New Hanover County Animal Control, and also adopted by her foster mama. The 2 are inseparable and now have a loving home where they can flourish!!

She needed to have a mammary tumor removed and still needs dental, but her amazing foster helped her decompress; and now, only happy things ahead for Miss Jenny!
Little Minion was found as a stray with a fractured jaw and imploded right eye from blunt force trauma.
Look at her now! Sweet Minion may have only one eye, but she has a heart full of love with her two fur siblings and her new Mama's love.

"I want you to know how happy I am with Minion. She is adorable in so many ways. She makes me smile. And she also makes Coconut so happy. She is perfect."
